Community Funding Programme Review

LLAL is undertaking a review of its Community Funding Programme, with a particular focus on the Partnership Fund.

Consultation on the review has now closed. Thank you to all those who took part. The responses are being carefully considered. Further information will be added to this page of the website in due course.

Corporate social responsibility

LLAL recognises that there are inevitably some undesirable consequences from having a major airport on one’s doorstep, so we will do what we can to achieve a balance between economic benefit and environmental impact.

One of the most effective ways that we can do this is through investing in our local communities. You can read our Community Funding Policy here

Through our Corporate Funding Programme, we provide significant financial support to voluntary and community groups providing essential services to the people of Luton.

Partnership fund

Our Partnership Fund is organised by Theme. You can find more information about the partnership fund below

Financial information
We have recently expanded our programme to include funding of £600,000, available to community organisations in Luton and the surrounding area. Our Community and Near Neighbour Funds are administered by the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation. You can find details of how to apply at www.blcf.org.uk

In addition, we recognise that a vigorous and successful business sector is not only good for the town as a whole, but also complements our objective of creating and sustaining regional prosperity. To that end, we have also created an Enterprise Fund, providing start-up support to small businesses and social enterprises. This fund is administered by WENTA, and you can find details of how to apply at www.wenta.co.uk .

We will give top-up funding to our operations partner, LLAOL, to assist them in providing noise alleviation measures to qualifying residential and community properties, and we have encouraged and supported them in developing a range of measures to reduce noise, particularly at night.
